Yoga
Davis offers many levels of TriYoga, a flowing form of hatha
yoga. We specialize in students who are new to yoga and
who may be uncomfortable in classes with more flexible and
stronger practitioners. For intermediate and very strong
yoga practitioners, Yoga Davis has challenging and fun classes
as well (Level 1, 2 and 3).
Established
in 2002 by Kamala Paul, Yoga Davis is a virtual company,
where classes and workshops are offered at various locations
throughout the town of Davis and surrounding areas. Someday
Yoga Davis will have a home-a physical space-of its own.
For now, the company offers classes at:
Yoga
Davis can also come to your home or place of business for
private individual or group classes. Yoga Davis also organizes
your private group classes in a quiet setting away from
your home or office.
We
offer TriYoga Flow classes, meditation classes, specialized
monthly workshops and a teachers training certification
program.
TriYoga
Flows® –Gentle or as challenging
as you’d like.
Kali Ray TriYoga® is a systematic and complete hatha
yoga method founded by yogini Kali Ray. The TriYoga flows
embody the union of posture, breath and focus---that is
asana, pranayama and mudra. The method is as gentle or as
challenging as desired, in that the Flows are systematized
by level. Students may progress from basics to advanced
as they increase their flexibility, strength, endurance
and knowledge of the method. Through sustained awareness
on all aspects of the TriYoga Flows®, the inherent
flow naturally emerges. This trinity practice is by the
nature of its origin, deeply meditative and transformative.
It feels good and it’s fun!

I
have tried various yoga styles over the years and have never
found a system of yoga to be as deeply satisfying, thorough
and organic as Kali Ray's TriYoga. For me, TriYoga is like
the Tai Chi of yoga.
Postures
are not experienced as discreeet and separate, not are they
rushed through as in some styles of yoga. The progression
of postures feels natural and organic to the body.
Emphasis
is placed on the breath and flow, so one pays attention to
how postures are connected and truly experiences meditation
in motion. Verbal guidance is also kept to a necessary minimum
so that instruction does not break the flow of inward focus.
I
always leave a TriYoga class feeling deeply fulfilled. Unlike
many other yoga styles, TriYoga is truly a spiritual practice.
